As BusinessLodge approaches its 25th anniversary, it’s the perfect time to reflect on how far the company has come, and how it continues to evolve to meet the needs of modern businesses.
What began as Haircloth Weaving and Finishing in the 1950s has transformed into one of the UK’s most successful and community-focused flexible workspace providers. With thriving centres in Bury, Stoke-on-Trent, and Widnes, and a second Stoke site launching in early 2026, BusinessLodge continues to grow by putting people and relationships at the heart of everything it does.
A Legacy of Growth and Expansion
From its roots in Bury, where four beautifully maintained buildings form the original headquarters, BusinessLodge has expanded its footprint to key business hubs across the UK.
In Stoke-on-Trent, Trent House has been operating for six years, providing modern, high-spec offices that are home to more than 120 businesses. Due to such high demand, BusinessLodge is now opening a second Stoke location, welcoming its first clients this November with an official launch event planned for January.
Meanwhile, BusinessLodge Widnes has gone from strength to strength since opening its doors 18 months ago. Under the leadership of Centre Manager Gail and her team, Mandy, Claire, and Jeff, the site has quickly become a hub for local businesses, combining flexible space with a warm, community-driven environment.
The BusinessLodge Difference
What sets BusinessLodge apart isn’t just the quality of its offices, it’s the quality of the experience. Every detail is designed to make working life easier, more productive, and more enjoyable.
Each centre offers:
- Flexible office space that grows with your business, upsize or downsize with ease
- Full-service support, including professional reception teams, building maintenance, and management
- On-site parking, air conditioning, and high-speed internet to ensure day-to-day comfort and efficiency
- Beautifully designed breakout areas and wellbeing-focused amenities such as on-site gyms and quiet zones
But beyond the bricks and mortar, BusinessLodge has built something truly special: a sense of community.
A Hub for Collaboration and Connection
At the heart of every BusinessLodge centre is a thriving community of professionals who connect, collaborate, and grow together. Regular networking events, such as coffee mornings and “Friday Fancies,” give clients a chance to share ideas and build meaningful relationships.
The pop-up program is another standout feature, offering local businesses and charities free space in reception areas to showcase their products or services. Whether it’s handmade treats, artisan gifts, or wellbeing experiences, these pop-ups add colour and connection to the workday while supporting the local economy.
And it doesn’t stop there. The team regularly invites wellness providers such as massage therapists and mindfulness coaches into the centres, creating opportunities for clients to prioritise wellbeing during their working day.
Empowering Business Growth
One of the clearest indicators of BusinessLodge’s success is how many clients expand their space after joining. Many businesses start in a one- or two-person office and, as they grow, seamlessly transition into larger suites, all without the stress of moving to a new site.
This flexibility has been particularly valuable for growing therapy and wellness businesses, which have found BusinessLodge’s professional yet welcoming environment the perfect place to meet clients and build their brands.
It’s not uncommon for BusinessLodge clients to move between locations as their operations expand, one recent example being a long-term client relocating from Stoke to Widnes, demonstrating true brand loyalty and trust in the BusinessLodge experience.
A Future Focused on Community and Connection
Looking ahead to 2026, BusinessLodge’s vision remains clear: to continue creating exceptional, flexible workspaces that help people and businesses thrive.
With exciting initiatives like the £5,000 referral program for new office introductions (subject to terms and conditions), ongoing community events, and the upcoming launch of the new Heron House site in Stoke-on-Trent, the future looks bright for both the company and its growing community of clients.
At BusinessLodge, it’s never just about renting office space, it’s about belonging to a place where businesses grow, people connect, and success stories are shared.
