ENVIRONMENTAL POLICY

A. COMPANY INTRODUCTION

BusinessLodge is a provider of flexible office space, meeting rooms and virtual office services – with 4 buildings inBury and 1 in Stoke. The original building – Europa House, Bury was established in 2001. BusinessLodge now has approximately 25 staff based across the business. Our clients range from small 1 person businesses to large multinational companies across a broad range of sectors.

B. ACKNOWLEDGE ENVIRONMENTAL IMPACT

At BusinessLodge, we acknowledge that we have an impact on the environment. Our significant impacts are associated with energy usage and generation of waste.

C. KEY COMMITMENTS

We are committed to reducing our environmental impact, and encouraging our clients, suppliers and other stakeholders to do the same. We will seek to ensure our actions prevent pollution and protect the environment. We will ensure we meet all contractual and legal requirements as a minimum and also look to better our performance through research and consultation to look to implement best practice. BusinessLodge will continue to review it’s practices and strive for improvement. Also working with our clients to educate and encourage them to support our environmental commitments.

D. TAILORED COMMITMENTS

BusinessLodge will:-

- Monitor our carbon emissions.

- Reduce energy consumption across our portfolio of buildings – through increasing staff awareness, improved controls, educating/encouraging clients and suppliers. Increase energy efficiency.

- Reduce paper consumption through staff awareness and increased use of electronic storage and communication.

- Aligning with the waste hierarchy - reduce all types of waste and increase recycling rates across all sites.

This will be achieved through staff awareness campaigns

E. REVIEW (REGULARITY, BY WHO)

The Environmental policy will be reviewed annually, or sooner if there have been any significant changes to the business. Reviewed by the Managing Director

F. COMMUNICATION

This policy is available on our website and by request to clients, suppliers and interested stakeholders. The policy will be communicated to all staff and displayed on noticeboards in the management office at each site.
